I was the assistant stage manager for the 2001 - 2003 National Tour of South Pacific.  We were in rehearsals in NYC during 9/11.  Michael Nouri was Emile, oppositte Erin Dilly.  The production was slated for Broadway, produced by Fran & Barry Weissler ... it never materialized.  The Weissler's changed the marketing to a "red white and blue" poster to reflect the post-9/11 patriotic times in the USA.  A year into the tour, Michael Nouri left and was replaced by Robert Goulet.  I loved working with both of these men, but had a special adoration for Robert Goulet.  A few years after South Pacific, I was hired to Stage Manage a national tour of Camelot, starring Robert Goulet.  Sadly, it was his last tour.  Robert passed away in October of 2007.  One of my favortie memories was spending July 4th at his Las Vegas home.  He and his wife Vera Goulet hosted a wonderful evening.
