My first Broadway Show was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang as part of the Original Broadway Stage Management Team. I was a very reliable and often used substitute stage manager at Avenue Q (the friendliest company on Broadway) and Boeing-Boeing. I was the original Stage Manager for Irving Berlin's White Christmas and repeated those duties on the subsequent Broadway revival.

Brigadoon was one of most Artistically fulfilling projects I had been affiliated with, but just prior to rehearsals beginning, the project was indefinitely postponed. Heartbreaking.

Another Heartbreak was Lone Star Love, the infamous pre-Broadway Seattle tryout starring Randy Quaid. Our Marquee appeared at the Belasco on Broadway one day and was quickly removed the following day when the production was cancelled and Mr. Quaid was banned from Actors' Equity for life.
